Insurance & visit info | Nourished Lactation

At Nourished Lactation, we use MilkNotes, a secure HIPAA-compliant platform, to keep you connected with your IBCLC.

After booking, you’ll receive a link to your client portal, accessible on your phone or computer. Here you can:

• Complete intake forms before your appointment

• View your personalized plan of care

• Send secure messages directly to your IBCLC

• Join telehealth appointments

Insurance & Coverage

We partner with Wildflower Health and The Lactation Network to help families use their insurance for lactation care.

Coverage details:

• Many plans cover multiple visits.

• Some Cigna plans can be billed directly through Wildflower Health.

• Some Aetna, United Healthcare, and PNOA plans can be billed directly through The Lactation Network.

How it works:

1. Submit your insurance information through the partner platform.

2. Verification usually takes 24-48 hours (urgent situations reviewed in 3 hours or less).

3. If approved, you’ll receive confirmation for your covered visits at no cost to you.

4. If your plan is not covered, you will be considered a self-pay patient.

Self-Pay Options

If your insurance is not accepted, you can book as a self-pay patient.

• Payment is due at the time of service.

• I can provide a superbill upon request so you may submit it to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Home Visits & Travel Fees

I offer in home visits in: Montgomery county and surrounding areas.

Fees:

• Standard home visit convenience fee: $40 per appointment (non-refundable, collected at booking, not billable to insurance).

• Visits outside the standard service area: $75 travel fee, subject to provider approval.
